107.5 KGLK The Eagle

KGLK 107.5 and KHPT 106.9 broadcast across Houston “The Eagle” Houston’s only Classic Rock Station. 107.5 operates at 95,000w from the Liverpool area and KHPT powers at 91,600w from north Houston. With both signals all of the city is covered. The station is owned and operated by Cox Media Group.

KGLK first came to broadcasting in the 1980’s from Lake Jackson as a gospel station formally known as KGOL on 107.3 FM. The station then moved north to serve Houston and advanced up the dial to 107.5. This also meant the station could increase in power, and at the same time, the ownership was changed and the format to classic rock. It was in June of 2011 that 106.9 began rebroadcasting KGLK’s format. On December 31, 2013 the station rebranded its slogan to “Houston’s only Classic Rock station.”
