  • 2026 Texas Engineer’s Dinner

We’re excited to once again host the Texas Engineers’ Dinner—now in its 34th year!

The dinner will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, starting around 7:35 PM. We are returning to the same great spot as last year: Round Rock – Salt Lick BBQ.

⚠️ Please Note: This is an RSVP-only event so the Salt Lick pitmasters can prepare enough BBQ. Spouses are absolutely welcome! Kindly reply to this email or contact any of your hosts to secure your spot.

    Your Hosts This Year:

    • LANCO – Lance Parr
    • BTD – Richard Gerlovich
    • ABS – David Grice
    • BGS – Dave Kerstin & Dan Giesler

Attached is a flyer highlighting the generous sponsors who make this event possible. They look forward to this evening just as much as we do, so please keep them in mind when considering equipment purchases or services. Your continued support helps ensure this tradition carries on.

The TAB Convention team is already hard at work planning what continues to be the largest state broadcast show. Registration and hotel bookings are now open!

Complimentary Pass: You can use code BGS2026 for a complimentary exhibit pass, which includes lunch. As always, the session lineup is top-notch if you’d like to expand your convention experience—be sure to check out early-bird pricing while it’s available.

If you have any convention registration questions, Sydney at TAB is ready to help at sydney@tab.org.

    Celebrating Excellence
During the event, we will be celebrating our Stephen H. Schott Awards. Please join us in honoring this year’s recipients: Jim Wynn, Jon Bennett, Larry Brown, Jim Lotspeich, and Ken Fine.

We’re looking forward to a great evening reconnecting with the Texas Broadcast Engineering community. Until then—stay cool!

    Cheers,
